Anna Jensen and her parents will be hosting a lasagna feed after church on the the 25th of March. Anna will soon be leaving for Lausanne, Switzerland to attend the Biblical Core Course with YWAM and is still in need financially to be fully funded. The idea is to come and eat a Sunday lunch by donation but ALL are welcome to enjoy food and fellowship time around the table. Both gluten free and vegetarian options will be available.
We are reading A Piece of the World by Christina Baker Kline.
We are not placing a group order for books. If you would like to join us, you'll need to get your own copy. They are available at the library, online, or locally at Waucoma Books. Waucoma offers a 20% discount if you tell them it's for a book club.
Discussion will most likely be at Carolyn's home. Stay tuned for more details..
It's time for some early Spring cleaning of your closets. Bring in any clothes, jewelry, or accessories that you no longer want. Everyone will have the chance to "shop" what others have brought and take what you like for free. Anything left over will be donated afterwards. Even if you don't have anything to donate, please come anyway and shop the goods.
This month's women's dinner will be a LUNCH! And it's the second installment of our Cook Together series. This is where we meet at someone's home and then we all prepare our meal together and get to fellowship while we cook and wait. And then we eat it all together family style. It's so much fun and all the ingredients are provided by the church. All you need to bring is yourself.
Please sign up as soon as possible since we need to shop for ingredients and make sure we have enough space. Thank you!
We’re going to bring a little southern tradition to Shepherd on the evening of Nov. 26. Church members in the south get together before the first Sunday of Advent to decorate the church for Christmas - we call it “The Hanging of the Greens”. All are invited to join us on Sunday evening of the 26th to help us “Hang the Greens”! We’ll have a brief time of singing, hot chocolate, sweets, and decorating. We’ll begin at 6:30 pm and should easily be finished by 7:30. Hope you’ll join us!
It's time for another fun night of bunco at SVBC. All are welcome to join us on Friday night for a fun and simple game of bunco. If you are new to bunco, don't worry. All you need to know how to do is roll dice! Ages 10 and up are invited to join us. There will be snacks provided for you. Sign up on Sunday at church or let the office know that you plan to come.
The women of SVBC will be meeting at Connie's house for a prayer retreat. Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 we will meet to go over the agenda and enjoy a pizza dinner together. Then we'll return in the morning at 8:30. There will be a soup lunch provided and we will finish up at 4:00. Please let Gerri or Amber know if you are interested. There is no cost to attend.
Join us on Halloween for Trunk or Treat! We will have cars in our parking lot all decked out and stocked with candy. Enjoy a safe environment for your little one to trick-or-treat this year!
