What to Expect

At Shepherd of the Valley you can expect to be welcomed by some friendly people who will let you know where everything is. Feel free to grab a cup of coffee or tea and come into the auditorium and relax. There’s nothing fancy. You will notice that our congregation likes to visit with one another, but we do try to start on time at 10:00.

Here is what you can expect on a typical Sunday Morning . . .

Prayer
Every Sunday morning there is a team of believers who gather to pray over the church, service, and community around us.

Worship
At Shepherd of the Valley, we have a diverse selection of worship music that glorifies Christ. We approach worship as another way to draw us closer to God’s presence and a way for us to glorify Him.

Teaching
Shepherd of the Valley, sermons are biblically based using many methods of teaching, these include, expository (verse by verse), narrative, and topical. Our hope is that you grow in your relationship with Christ.

Fellowship
Community is a huge part of Shepherd of the Valley’s identity. We believe that this is one way that we can share God’s love with one another. Before and after service are a perfect time to get to know those who are visiting and strengthen our church body.

Giving
There is an opportunity for our members to worship God through giving through tithes or service. However, if you are visiting with us, we prefer that you receive from us. There is no obligation to give.

The Greenhouse Children’s Ministry:

Seedlings Nursery
Child care is available for little ones ages 0 -2 years from 10:00-11:30 every Sunday. The nursery is well staffed by loving adults in a healthy and safe environment.

Sprouts Preschool
A preschool program is available for kids ages 3- 4 years from 10:00-11:30 every Sunday.

Superchurch
Superchurch is an intentionally gripping high-energy church service crafted specifically for kids ages 5 years - 5th grade. Its mission? To share the saving grace of Jesus Christ with all children using an arsenal of approaches that bring Jesus and the Bible to life in their midst. We dismiss the kids about 30 minutes into the service so they both enjoy worship with their family but also participate in learning activities more appropriate for their age. This program is staffed by trained teachers and all precautions have been taken to keep your kids safe while having fun and learning more about Jesus.
